Step into a dazzling world of light with over 1000 Chinese lanterns; all handmade by artisans with decades of experience. A whimsical walk-through experience to light up and warm up the season! Featuring live entertainment, food, drinks and gifts, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

  • You can purchase tickets online here, or in person at the box office.

  • Credit card processing and third party ticketing surcharge, CT state tax may apply to certain items

  • When you complete your ticket purchase the tickets will be emailed to you, you can print it at home, or save the QR code to your mobile device.

  • Once the purchase is complete, all the tickets are non-refundable. 

  • We are a rain or shine event. In the event of extreme weather, we will notify our guests of cancellation beforehand. You may use your tickets for any other date- no need to exchange them.

  • Outdoors

  • Yes there is free parking available

  • We love pets but unfortunately no dogs are allowed unless they are a service animal.

  • Flash photography, alcohol, drugs, anything which may disturb the other patrons.

  • You may be asked to wait outside the gate if our festival is too crowded until a time slot opens.

  • You can show your tickets digitally on your phone or a printed copy.

  • All children over 3 are required to have a ticket.

  • Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed at all events.

  • Our events may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1hr.

  • If you see no availability for a specific date / time, it means the time slot is sold out. You can always pick a different date or time. You can also check with our box office staff at the event.

  • As all of our events are outdoors, visitors are free to enjoy all our lights and lanterns regardless of vaccination status.

  • You can change your dates through the link on your confirmation email up to 2 hours before the event.

  • Peak viewing time for the lanterns is after the sun sets.

  • First entry is at 5:00pm and last entry is at 9pm

  • Yes there are restrooms available.

  • Feel free to take photos and share them/tag Winter Lantern Festival on IG! This year we also brought in a few figures just for picture taking so get your cameras ready! When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb others. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.

  • Learn about the culture and craftsmanship of traditional Chinese lantern festivals! Our team believes that when it comes to culture, contribution is celebration. With our lights and lanterns, we hope to provide an unforgettable experience for all.

  • Light food and beverage will be available, outside food and drinks are not permitted.

  • It is recommended that you arrive within the time stated on your ticket to maximize your experience.

  • We offer discounts for seniors, military and students.

  • Doors open at 5:00pm with last entry at 9pm.

  • All ages are welcome! If you purchased youth tickets, you must show your ID at the door.

  • You will be notified directly by email or text if you have purchased tickets.  You can also follow us at Facebook and Instagram at Winterlanternfestival.

  • For your safety, we don’t allow visitors to touch any lantern displays.

  • Absolutely! We couldn’t think of a more magical place. If you plan on proposing, please contact our staff at info@winterlanternfestival.com

  • Taking pictures at night can be tricky. We highly suggest you find a light source in front of your subject first before switching on your camera. Try to avoid strong lighting directly behind your subject. If your phone has night mode, be sure to keep the subject and the phone still for 3 seconds (typically) upon clicking the shutter button- this will produce a clearer photo.

  • The festival is friendly for wheelchairs but not technically ADA accessible

  • Adults are $26.99, Seniors are $21.99 and Children $16.99.  Saturdays are $1 per ticket additional.  Tickets at the door are $30 for adults and $20 for child.

  • 6:15pm, 7:15pm, and 8:15pm
